Our Story
Built on family, adventure, and the kind of partnership that feels both grounding and exciting - here's a little of how we got from a first hello to forever.
About us
It started with a chance encounter in Calgary, grew through adventures across two continents, and led, eventually, to a vineyard in the Okanagan Valley and a question answered without hesitation.
What Sarah and James have built together is something easy to feel but harder to put into words - a relationship full of warmth, laughter, and a shared love of life. Now they're ready to celebrate the next chapter with the people who made them who they are.

The short version
James was visiting Calgary when he was set to meet his colleagues at a place called Rooftop, where Sarah happened to be working that evening. The moment she stopped at his table, the conversation sparked immediately: easy, warm, full of laughter. Sarah's other tables may have waited a little longer than usual that night. James left knowing he wasn't done talking to her.
They collected passport stamps quickly: Monte Carlo, Nice, London, Dallas, Los Angeles, Toronto, Seattle, New York. Each city added something to their story. But Paris was different. Something about the light at dusk, the pace of the streets, the way the city seemed entirely unbothered by time, it wrapped itself around them and never fully let go.
James told Sarah they were meeting an old friend in Kelowna. It was a perfectly ordinary plan, until it wasn't. He guided her up to the lookout on Knox Mountain as Okanagan Lake opened up below them in the afternoon light. No friend, of course. Just James, a ring, and a question he had been planning for months. Sarah said yes before he finished asking.
They searched far and wide, and found it right in their own backyard. Nestled in the Okanagan Valley just outside Kelowna, Lakeside Vineyard Estate sits beneath the quiet watch of the mountains, a vineyard estate that felt immediately, unmistakably right. This is where it all comes together.
The proposal
James told Sarah they were meeting an old friend. He led her up to the lookout on Knox Mountain as Okanagan Lake stretched out below. No friend, of course. Just a ring, the lake, and the only question that mattered.
